You cannot be everything to everybody. Find your niche and stick with it. Are you everything to everyone? Do you know what you are good at and what is not your forte? How can you find out?
The only way I have been able to figure this out is by trying a lot of different things.
For example, I am not really good at answering all my email right away. I am sorry but I only have so much time in the day and lots of responsibilities. So I am taking the advice of Timothy Ferris of the 4-Hour Work Week fame. I am trying to get an assistant to answer my email. Will let you know how it goes.
Of course in terms of finding your niche you need time -- and think how much time you spend on doing things of an administrative nature? Is that your niche? Unless you're a bookkeeper I think not. I'd love to hear your ideas on how you save time. Please leave a comment below.
